Adult Education: Eddie Money

As ATG’s resident geezer, I’m not sure how far past the ’70s and ’80s my mandate extends. Surely not much into the ’90s, I suppose. Eddie Money started out in the mid ’70s and sort of petered out by the end of the next decade. But for an ex-NYC cop, he made some great music. Eddie was a blue-collar rocker, in the same lane as Huey Lewis and Bob Seger. “I Wanna Go Back” comes from 1986’s Can’t Hold Me Back and it really moves. It’s a song of regret – we all have things we’d like to do over – but pounds forward. Try it.
