We often speak in hyperbole here at ATG, so we forgive you for ignoring some of our recommendations for bands that are the “best of 2011″ or “epic” or “pants-wettingly good.” We’ve built a sort of ‘boy-who-cried-wolf’ situation here, which is rather unfortunate given the rest of this post.
Why, you might ask? Well, maybe because Captain Cuts remixes can only be described as the pants-wettingly epic best remixes of 2011. The production trio of Ryan McMahon, Ryan Rabin, and Ben Berger started with a tricked-out dubstep-inspired remix of GROUPLOVE’s “Colours” and followed that with a seemingly endless supply of fantastic retakes, improving songs from artists like Britney Spears, Beyonce, Foster the People, and Icona Pop.
Lucky for you, we are teaming up with Neon Gold Records again to bring Captain Cuts down for the second edition of ALL THINGS GOLD at U St. Music Hall this Thursday night alongside The Knocks, ANR, St. Lucia, & Lightwaves. Advance tickets are still available (but going fast) for the low price of $10. GRAB YOURS today, and get ready for an electronic pop explosion.
