New Noise 006: U.S. Royalty, Misun

UPDATE #2: Thanks to Hurricane Sandy, Tixelated’s payment provider will be down until the end of Thursday at the latest. For those of you who want to buy a ticket until then, you can make a $10 PayPal transaction directly to info@tixelated.com. No extra fees added. Otherwise, we’ll let you know when everything is back up and running. Sorry for the inconvenience. See you all Saturday!

For our sixth New Noise installment, we are returning to the Gibson Guitars DC Showroom for an intimate evening featuring stripped-down performances from two of our favorite artists from the District. U.S. Royalty have already proven themselves to be one of the nation’s capital’s premier acts, especially following the release of their stellar debut full length, Mirrors, back in 2011. The four-piece will show us how it’s done with a special acoustic set. Opening the night will be Misun. This self-described “aquawave” outfit is one of DC’s finest up-and-coming acts and the summery pop of their debut The Sea EP has already received praise from Washington City Paper, The Fader, and more.

This all goes down Tuesday, October 30th at the Gibson Guitars Showroom from 7PM – 10PM. Get there early for the open bar from 7PM – 8PM. Event is 21+. ASCAP and Listen Local First will be on hand to drop general music knowledge. We’re teaming up with our friends over at Tixelated to sell tickets for this show. Visit the link below and name your own price. We assure you, though, this one will be well worth your money. See you then.
