Cloud Nothings – Psychic Trauma

Cloud Nothings‘ “Psychic Trauma” begins with slow, straightforward rock and quickly descends into a fast, bent, twisted world of noise. The video for the track follows the same path, opening with a simple performance clip filmed on a camera from the 1960s with a warped, blue-tinted lens, but as the kick drum flares up the image starts to shift and shake. A buzz saw guitar, blistering snare and Dylan Baldi’s screaming vocals begin to shake the camera, and after a slight slowdown everything goes off the rails to the tune of a shredding guitar riff and machine gun drumming. This video is the look and sound of going crazy. After watching it, crazy doesn’t seem so bad.
