Danish punk band Iceage isn’t here to make you comfortable. Their 2014 tour-de-force album Plowing Into the Field of Love steered away from the mosh pit and into a morose dive bar in the middle of nowhere. “Take It All,” taken from their upcoming album, Beyondless, out on May 4, further turns their past work upside down and inside out. Like a march through a melancholic haunted house, the track drives through an unnerving yet awe-inspiring emotional breakdown. Horror-esque strings ring behind singer Elia Rønnenfelt’s tortured vocals, keeping the track off-kilter enough to make sure you don’t get too comfortable in their vision of emotional catharsis.
