Kendrick Lamar – Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe (Remix Ft. Jay-Z)

After the online buzz about this collaboration culminated in a SXSW sneak peek at the FADER Fort, the Jay-Z remix of Kendrick Lamar‘s “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” is finally here – and I wouldn’t be surprised if this version gets dropped as the new single off K.Dot’s generally flawless good kid, m.A.A.D. city.

In this remix, Lamar replaces the introspective, elegiac verses of the original with a boastful persona performance more fitted to a joint effort with Hova (“You look at my hat and see thorns there/ I look at the game and see porn there/ I’m fuckin’ this industry hard”). Then Jay-Z steps in on the second verse, escalating his game way past his lethargic “Suit & Tie” feature, spitting out lines like “Sittin’ next to Hillary smelling like dank.” We get it, Jay, you’re American royalty! Now it’s up to us to decide whether K.Dot’s explosive final verse constitutes a real threat to the crown. Stream the track below.

Kendrick Lamar’s good kid, m.A.A.d. city is out right now via Aftermath.
