Around The Corner
Mike Mains & The Branches are back with “Around The Corner.” The song — an uplifting pop tune that invokes the more anthemic side of Young The Giant and Generationals — is about Mike Mains’s experiences coming out the other side of a “dark depression.” The track gave the frontman an opportunity to give “a voice to the ghosts living inside of [him],” adding that “For the first time in my life I feel like ‘Around The Corner’ was one of the first songs that I was able to truly put my feelings into words and have it completely land. I’m really telling my own story, but I think that a lot of people can relate to that.”
“Around The Corner” will appear on Mike Mains & The Branches’ upcoming When We Were In Love LP, out April 5th via Tooth & Nail. Listen below.
