Pageants share “Cacti For Clothes” ahead of new record

Pageants

LA’s music scenes are, by the city’s broad nature and reach, in constant flux. Certain sounds dominate of course, but rarely too long that we’re sick of it by June. Enter Pageants – Long Beach’s call for adventure on the new sonic frontier. “Cacti For Clothes” is following up on their Musings of the Tide EP back in 2013 and is a soft collection of beachside tones. Indie rhythms permeate with blessed strings plucked and staggered with cymbals lightly touched. This project has been in the works for the past few years, since core member Rebecca Coleman split from her former Sub Pop band Avi Buffalo in 2010 and worked patiently on new material in the interim. We’re ready.
