L.A.-based indie rock outfit DreamVacation have released their new John Rausch-produced track, “Letting In The Dead.” It’s layered and atmospheric, but at the same time wildly catchy (much more so than the darkness of the title implies). Ray Silva’s voice has a hardened edge, but vulnerability is not far underneath the surface. Add some Strokes-like guitars, and you’ve got pure indie rock goodness.
Here’s what Silva had to say about the track:
“Letting In The Dead” is about a person holding a seance for the ghost of a dead relationship. The person is haunted by this spirit and wants to help it find peace so it will rest.
