Hypercolor (the joint collaboration between Brooklyn-based producers Matthew Young and Grant Wheeler) have teamed up with vocalist Julietta for a sparkling trip of a track, “Animal.” This song might be the biggest banger featuring a xylophone in recent history. But although the xylophone adds a layer of uniqueness, the entire shimmering piece is feel-good electronic music that isn’t necessarily (but easily can be, considering the drop to run-time ratio) just party music.
