The Nick Valentini Collective, led by (you guessed it) Nick Valentini, is an eight-piece experimental outfit based out of LA. Today, they’re dropping “Mr. Mister”, a jazz-infused indie rock track that sounds like if Thom Yorke had a particular penchant for discordant jazzy guitars and pianos, culminating in a Beatles-esque “A Day In the Life”chaos sequence.
Here’s what Nick Valentini had to say:
Mr. Mister is the experience of one man’s cathartic release away from everything he once knew. The song is symbolic of the band’s newfound creative approach.
The collective’s full-length album is set to be released late this summer.
