Is sci-fi pop a genre? It is now, with Brooklyn duo The Fantastic Plastics’ wonderfully weird, dystopian “TV Head.” The poppy, electronic new wave song sounds a lot more like an 80s vision of what the future looks like, both in sound and content, than a 2016 one. And we like it that way. “TV Head” is off of The Fantastic Plastics’ upcoming EP, Invasion, out October 7th via Altercation Records.

Here’s Tyson Plastic’s explanation of the track:

Basically the song is about a TV obsessed weirdo who falls in love with his television. It’s The Human League meets Netflix and chill.
