We all know and have opinions about Taylor Swift, but Ryan Adams‘ cover of her critically-acclaimed 1989 blows the original out of the water. With grit, authenticity and raw emotion, Adams connects with the listener in a way Swift’s album did not. From the dad-rock version of “Bad Blood” to the eery similarity to Bruce Springsteen in “Shake It Off”, the album as a whole is improved. Also, we’re fine (apparently so is T-Swift) with the fact that it’s available on Spotify. Give it a listen below.
