Hello again! We left you guys off in Portland last week and a lots happened since then… about 1k miles or so. After Portland we headed east to Boise through beautiful Oregon and Idaho, some of the nicest drives in America. Later that night we played to an another sold out crowd at the Knitting Factory in Boise… great show!

After Boise we headed up into the mountains, and into Wyoming. Little did we know that as you head into the mountains, to about 7k feet, things gets cold!

We were all pretty unprepared for the cold, but we dealt with it as any band would, by staring at our computers in a strange college town coffee shop.

College shows can go in many different directions, but every so often, a student council puts something together really special, and this was one of those shows.

The crowd at University of Wyoming was amazing, outfitted with glow sticks, which unfortunately I wasn’t able to get a picture of. One of our best shows of tour… We’ve been playing our new song Devotion every night, and it really clicked tonight with the audience, 1,000 people clapping along always feels good…

After Wyoming we headed south to find Denver in full springtime bloom, and to play the beautiful Ogden Theatre.

Here’s a sneaky bad picture of a beautiful room as it fills up…

After Denver, we headed back north and made a pit stop and Alex’s parents house (a leisurely 11 hour drive) Then to the Twin Cities…

We have a running joke in the band that whenever we cross a river we yell out the “mighty mississ-SIP” But this time, we actually did it!

The venue Myth was in a pretty weird suburban strip mall so, naturally, we took a break to go to a Benihana knock off for dinner…

The St. Paul show was another beautiful one, XA’s fans have been incredibly warm and open to our show, and we couldn’t ask for more as an opening act…

After St. Paul, we headed to Madison, probably one of our favorite cities to play in, and our venue was a lot nicer than the last time we played there. The Orpheum Theatre.

We also finally got a chance to take in a full XA set, and here’s a shot of them doing what they do best -> crrrrrushing it.

We then ended the night at one of our favorite tour stops, Merchant Madison. Probably my favorite restaurant between the two coasts, and to our delight it was Tikki Tuesday. Needless to say we had one too many and stumbled to our hotel around 3am.

And that’s a wrap!!! See you next week after Chicago, Columbus and Indy <3
