Stephen Colbert Declares War on Kanye West, Launches “Operation Humble Kanye”

Stephen Colbert, my favorite television personality ever, is preparing a full-fledged assault on Kanye West. You may wonder why Colbert has “beef”, but to find the answer to that question you need not look further than the the iTunes top albums list. Currently, Ye’s 808s and Heartbreaks (which I chronicled recently), sits comfortably atop the the iTunes best-seller list, and Mr. Colbert is none too pleased. He is launching “Operation Humble Kanye” tomorrow, Wednesday December 3rd, at 5pm. His mission: to dethrone Kanye with his Christmas album, A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All. Colbert declared on his show that this triumph would once and for all anoint him as the “voice of this generation of this decade of this Wednesday at 5pm”, which makes zero sense, and yet totally gets me on his side in this epic battle. Last year, 50 Cent tried and failed to top Kanye’s sales of Graduation, but something tells me Colbert Nation can do something about this. Join “Operation Humble Kanye” and download Colbert’s album off of iTunes right HERE at 5pm on Wednesday.

Watch Colbert’s declaration against Kanye on Colbert Nation. Gotta love his description of ‘Ye as “sunglasses display mannequin Kanye West”.
