Denver indie duo Tennis have returned with “No Exit”, desultory disco track that shuffles along with ennui and resignation. Vocalist Alaina Moore aptly describes the track as “a dancey 120 bpm sort of thing that appeals to my persistent sense of malaise.” Unlike the Sartre play of the same name, “No Exit” is too groovy to be riddled with existential despair. But it’s chorus of muted futility – “We’re never gonna come back” – is hardly reassuring. Listen below.
