When we hear Nate Salman‘s name we think Les Sins. The Oakland artist featured on Chaz Bundick’s “Why?” last year, but we have a hunch Salman will be catching ears with this latest project, Waterstrider . The five-piece saw a flurry of activity in 2014, which included their debut original “Redwood” plus a cover of Little Dragon’s “Twice.” Today the band starts the new year strong with their latest single “White Light.” There’s nothing rudimentary going on here; Salman and co.’s dexterous vocal and guitar work, which reminds us equally of Foalsalt-J and As Tall As Lions, are indicative of a band that will wow us with anything but simplicity. Give “White Light” a listen below.
